The Bitcoin wallet on Mac OS X is located in ~/Library/Application Support/Bitcoin/wallet.dat.
I would like to create a Truecrypt vault, and have the wallet.dat file stored in that vault instead of in its default location. I'm using bitcoin-qt.app on a MAC. I can't find anywhere where to set the parameters for the location of the files it uses.
The data directory is the location where Bitcoin's data files are stored, including the wallet data file. By default Bitcoin will put its data here: ~/.bitcoin/. You need to do a "ls -a" to see directories that start with a dot. If that's not it, you can do a search like this: find / -name wallet.dat -print 2>/dev/null.
