The 2016 UNODC Global Report on Trafficking in Persons is the third of its kind mandated by the General Assembly through the 2010 United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons.

The Global Report on Trafficking in Persons Unit would like to thank the UNODC Human Trafficking and Migrant Smuggling Section, as well as the Unit’s former intern Kelsey McGregor Perry for their valuable inputs and support.
Targets aimed at reducing the number of people being trafficked are being discussed by the United Nations as part of the post 2015 development agenda.
