How do I install Google Chrome in Ubuntu version 12.04 LTS or v13.04 using command line options? You can get a fast, free web browser from Google.
could you please tell me whether its a 32bit system you're running on or a 64 bit?
If you want the 64bit version just replace i386 with amd64. If you encounter any errors simply use. sudo apt-get -f install.
sudo dpkg -i google-chrome*.deb. 64-bit/amd64 systems
Install Google Chrome in Ubuntu 12.10/Ubuntu 12.04/Ubuntu 11.10/Linux Mint. I love this browser because it's works faster without any errors, Everything is included in this browser and it's free.
Install Chrome on Ubuntu12.04.
For 32-bit, search and install flash plugin in Ubuntu Software Center. For 64-bit, download .tar.gz from the official site. click here and select “.tar.gz for other Linux”.
Some prefer going directly to Google Chrome download page and getting the deb installer. Others prefer to install it via PPA from the Chromium build.
If you are using a 64-bit system, remember to change the “i386” to “amd64“. Once install, restart your browser. The java applet should run now.
The 64-bit Google Chrome for Ubuntu does not come with flash plugin. If you need the flash player, you can manually install it.
