To secure an operator license in Texas, the applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalency, and complete at least 1,500 hours of beauty school education with a state-approved facility, or 1,000 of beauty school education and 500 hours in a vocational cosmetology program.
LOFS = Licensed Operator in Front Seat. From the Texas Driver's handbook, restriction B states "LOFS age 21 and over". That is, a licensed operator must be in the front seat with you and be 21 or over.
As of June 1, 2007, a Party Boat Operator License issued by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is required for operators of charter vessels that are operating on inland waters, are carrying more than six passengers, and have a length exceeding 30 feet.
When a nonresident owner or operator establishes residency in Texas or enters into gainful employ-ment, his vehicle may be operated for 30 days thereafter, after which time the vehicle must be currently registered in Texas.
